Research Activities

Anisotropic Nanostructure Synthesis, Self-Assembly, and Magnetism Study
* Prepare one dimensional (1D) nanostructures by solvothermal reactions.
* Design and produce 2D/3D self-assembled nanostructures (Co, FePd, Fe3O4).

Biomedical Applications and Surface Modification of Nanoscale Materials
* Optimize bio-conjugation processes to modify the surfaces of nanoparticles.
* Explore applications of nanoparticles in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and drug delivery.

Energy Materials
* Develop the chemical approaches to prepare higher performance electrode materials for Li Batteries.
* Design and study nanocatalyst for fuel cells by fabricating well-defined nanoparticles.
